{"id":2048,"date":"2021-10-22T11:53:52","date_gmt":"2021-10-22T09:53:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/origen.madridemprende.anovagroup.es\/?p=2048"},"modified":"2026-03-05T08:50:20","modified_gmt":"2026-03-05T07:50:20","slug":"sello-pyme-innovadora","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test.madridemprende.anovagroup.es\/en\/sello-pyme-innovadora\/","title":{"rendered":"Innovative SME Seal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Innovative SME Seal is created by virtue of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boe.es\/eli\/es\/o\/2015\/06\/05\/ecc1087\/dof\/spa\/pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Order ECC\/1087\/2015, of June 5, which regulates obtaining the Small and Medium-sized Innovative Company seal and creates and regulates the Registry of Small and Medium-sized Innovative Companies<\/a> (BOE of June 11, 2015).<\/p>\n<p>It is a recognition that is granted to <b>small and medium-sized companies that have a great character\u00a0<\/b><b>innovative<\/b>\u00a0so that these SMEs can\u00a0<strong>take advantage of and combine tax incentives <\/strong>which, without this seal, are incompatible.<\/p>\n<p>The objective is the development of an environment favorable to the\u00a0<strong>R&amp;D in SMEs<\/strong>\u00a0so that innovation is systematically incorporated into the production model of our SMEs.<\/p>\n<p>This new certification aims to expand the<strong>\u00a0bonuses\u00a0<\/strong>and<strong>\u00a0tax benefits<\/strong>\u00a0to these small and medium-sized companies, as well as to bring them closer to public procurement more easily.<\/p>\n<h2>How to get the stamp?<\/h2>\n<p>The application for the Seal can be made by SMEs that are in any of the following circumstances:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Have received public funding in the last 3 years<\/strong>\u00a0(without revocation) through:\n<ul>\n<li>Public calls for the VI National Plan for Scientific Research, Development and Technological Innovation or the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation.<\/li>\n<li>Grants for carrying out CDTI R&amp;D projects<\/li>\n<li>Aid from the 7th R&amp;D&amp;I Framework Program or the Horizon 2020 Program of the European Union.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Having demonstrated its innovative character with its activity:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Because it has its own patent in exploitation for less than 5 years<\/li>\n<li>Because you have obtained in the last 3 years a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ayming.es\/insights-y-noticias\/noticias\/que-es-para-que-sirve-informe-motivado-vinculante-imv\/\">Motivated Binding Report or IMV<\/a>\u00a0favorable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Have demonstrated their capacity for innovation with one of these certifications:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Young Innovative Company (JEI), (AENOR EA0043)<\/li>\n<li>Innovative small or micro-enterprise, (AENOR EA0047)<\/li>\n<li>R&amp;D&amp;i management systems, (UNE 166.002 Standard)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A Registry is created in which all innovative SMEs will be recorded. Registration will be carried out at the request of the interested SME, carrying out the procedures electronically. These are: declaration as SME; not having had total revocation of justified public financial aid; be up to date with the Administration (Treasury and SS) and justification of the condition of innovator.<\/p>\n<h2>Advantages: what is the seal for?<\/h2>\n<p>With the Seal, SMEs can obtain better tax advantages for their investment in R&amp;D&amp;i, such as:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Match incentives<\/strong>\u00a0that are not compatible for the rest of the companies:\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ayming.es\/servicios\/gestion-de-la-innovacion\/bonificaciones-a-la-seguridad-social-por-personal-investigador\/\">Bonuses to<strong> Social Security by Research staff:<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0reduces by 40% the share of common Social Security contingencies for researchers on staff.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ayming.es\/servicios\/gestion-de-la-innovacion\/deducciones-fiscales-idi\/\">Tax deductions for R+D+i:<\/a>\u00a0that allow reducing the Corporation Tax up to 42% of the investment made in R&amp;D and up to 12% of the investment made in Technological Innovation (IT).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Do\u00a0<strong>use of the Seal for advertising and commercial purposes,<\/strong>\u00a0since it improves the image of the brand<\/li>\n<li><strong>Access to certain aid, financing or mechanisms<\/strong>\u00a0for which the seal is necessary, such as participation in tenders for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ayming.es\/insights-y-noticias\/noticias\/la-compra-publica-de-innovacion-como-motor-de-innovacion-en-espana\/\">Public Purchase of Innovation<\/a>, or the ICO financing facility.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>How to get the Innovative SME Seal<\/h2>\n<p>The registration request as it is done\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ciencia.sede.gob.es\/pagina\/index\/directorio\/Servicios+Comunes+y+Otros_Registro+p%C3%BAblico+de+la+Peque%C3%B1a+y+Mediana+Empresa+Innovadora\/language\/es_ES\">from the website of the Ministry of Innovation<\/a>, electronically and free of charge. The company must be registered in the RUS (Unified Registry of Applicants) to start the application for the seal.<\/p>\n<p>During the application process we will be asked for information:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Company data<\/li>\n<li>Data of the applicant<\/li>\n<li>Company information: number of employees, turnover, annual balance<\/li>\n<li>Provide the document that proves that you are an Innovative SME, as we have seen in the requirements section, for example:\n<ul>\n<li>documentation on the granting of public aid<\/li>\n<li>the own patent in exploitation<\/li>\n<li>a copy of the resolution of the positive binding reasoned report<\/li>\n<li>or the copy of the official certification recognized by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Electronic signature<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Then we must wait for the resolution of the Ministry, which can take from a week to 4 months.
