New support for talent with the Ideas Pre-Accelerator

A large number of people with an entrepreneurial spirit have great ideas but are unable to evolve or implement them, since they do not have extensive experience as promoters or do not have the knowledge to transform the idea into a business project. 

We are currently in an increasingly competitive environment and if the development and conceptualization of the idea are not well worked out, they remain just that, just ideas.

To find a solution to this problem, the Madrid City Council, through the General Directorate of Commerce, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, has designed a new initiative whose main objective is to increase support for people who have great talent and who have concerns entrepreneurs in the most initial phase of a startup: the idea phase.

The Ideas Pre-Accelerator will select up to a total of up to 20 ideas that will benefit from a three-month program in which a coworking format workspace equipped with the necessary furniture and high-speed Wi-Fi connection is offered; in addition to a group mentoring program that includes training activities in the key areas of this idea phase.

Once the program ends, the promoters will have tools worked with experts to validate their idea and be able to go one step further with the startup, being able to present it to a business accelerator or another initiative of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

But… who is it for?

The program, called Pre-Accelerator of Ideas, will select up to 20 ideas whose promoters are university students; VET students; technical profiles with a business vocation or other entrepreneurs with novel ideas that require validation.

The only requirement to be selected is that the promoter of the idea has the need for pre-acceleration and a commitment to work to take advantage of all the opportunities offered by this program.

The service is offered completely free of charge for selected ideas. The IDEAS Pre-Accelerator will be located at SmartLab, Av. Monforte de Lemos, 38 (La Vaguada) 28029 Madrid.

Presentation of the candidacies

If you have an idea and want to access this program, you just have to fill in the application form. The call is open until September 20, 2015 at 11:59 p.m..

The winning ideas will be published on September 30.
