The City of Madrid has a collaboration agreement with the Rey Juan Carlos University for the development of actions with the Konecta-URJC Foundation Research Chair for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship of People with Disabilities, its purpose is to analyze and investigate aspects related to the social, economic and business political reality within the framework of entrepreneurship for people with disabilities.
For this reason, the Konecta-URJC Foundation Chair, in collaboration with the City of Madrid – through the General Directorate of Commerce and Entrepreneurship -, La Ciudad Accesible, Cermi, Popular and OHL organize the July 13 to 15 the summer course 'Entrepreneurship Vs Disability: strategies and resources to achieve the success of the entrepreneur with different abilities'.
This seminar aims to analyze the available processes and the necessary tools that promote the start or consolidation of projects for entrepreneurs with disabilities or different abilities.
This bet arises from the possibility of undertaking as a professional alternative for the group of people with disabilities and different abilities "from a perspective and specialized advice that guarantees the highest degree of autonomy of the entrepreneur, being aware of the implications of the different capacities in the success of the startup”, explains Ricardo Moreno Rodríguez, director of the program and of the Care Unit for People with Disabilities and Special Educational Needs of the URJC.
The term of inscription for the seminar will be open until 11:59 p.m. 12th of July or until full capacity is reached, as happened in its first edition that managed to exceed one hundred attendees. "Based on the experience of the first edition, we want to take a step forward in entrepreneurship by offering the necessary tools to encourage the creation and development of our projects," says Moreno Rodríguez.
In the opening ceremony of the seminar will be present Concha Diaz de Villegas, Managing Director of Commerce and Entrepreneurship of the Madrid City Council, Fernando Suarez Bilbao, Chancellor of the Rey Juan Carlos University, Jose Maria Pacheco, president of the Konecta Foundation, Beatriz Gomez Escalonilla, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility of Banco Popular, Maria Ruspoli, head of OHL's Action, Sponsorship and Patronage service and Luis Cayo Perez Bueno, president of CERMI.
