On April 25 and 26, the Demo Day events of the first edition of the Vicálvaro and San Blas Acceleration Programs took place. In these meetings full of talent and enthusiasm, the finalist candidates had the opportunity to present their projects in a format elevator pitch before the public and receive feedback individualized by a jury of experts, made up of David Sánchez, Nacho Sánchez¸ Ignacio de Miguel Ximénez¸ Alejandro Hernández, Nacho Liñán and Rafael de Juan.
Angel Niño, councilor for the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Area of the Madrid City Council, wanted to accompany the accelerated projects of this edition by handing out diplomas and the prizes for the Best Pitch of the Ufo and Kubik projects. Niño closed the event by encouraging all the entrepreneurs participating in the program to put their full effort into "knowing how to communicate and sell their project well in order to be successful and boost their business."
These Acceleration Programs have consisted of 4 intense months, where the finalists have been able to count on personalized support, specific training, mentoring sessions according to their needs and meetings where they have fostered their communication and leadership skills.
Vicalvaro
The finalist projects of this first edition of the Vicálvaro Acceleration Program that have successfully completed the program are:
- NextPlay; academic and employment guidance platform.
- Yungle; social network to follow, interact and meet people in groups.
- ufo; platform to develop gamified and personalized online games for companies.
- pawers; app and device for locating pets in real time.
- Careline; technology that allows older people to be connected through a device that is known to them.
- Fander Libeat; marketplace of musicians and dj for events.
- leisure fashion; e-commerce of t-shirts for men who don't have slender bodies.
- Eureka Technological Solutions; sale of personalized cardboard virtual reality glasses.
- August Studio; e-commerce women's swimwear for daring young women, made in Spain with recycled material.
- UrbaMate; app to manage the reservation of common use facilities in neighboring communities.
Saint Blaise
The finalist projects of this first edition of the San Blas Acceleration Program that have successfully completed the program are:
- Wiper Gaming; Platform of e-learning to gamers.
- Kubik; application and payment gateway to make shared payments.
- LifeGames; skill video game platform to compete and bet among players through tokens.
- Ctrading; platform on-line white label for teachers, academies and influencers of cryptocurrency trading.
- Iris method; Online training school in parenting skills for stability and family happiness.
- Cresory; Platform of e-learning to teach personal finance to children.
- Be Your Packer; cardboard boxes for personalized shipments in terms of measurements and design.
- filmmanship; school on-line film, with training for future actors and other online specialties.
- Adeolive; e-commerce of products related to Spanish virgin olive oil.
- Martina Maletti; designer fashion store for women, sustainable and with personalization.
During the events, the attendees were able to learn about all the finalist projects through a presentation made by each of them, as well as the questions that the different members of the jury posed to the founding members. In addition, to alleviate the nerves during the jury's deliberation to choose the winning pitch of Demo Day, the entrepreneurs, as well as the entire public, were able to have fun playing the test “How much do you know about entrepreneurship?”
The second edition of the Vicálvaro and San Blas acceleration programs is already underway
Since the end of March, the 2nd edition of the Acceleration Program for the Vicálvaro and San Blas business incubators has already started, which will run until July with 19 new projects and business ideas that are already working on improving their weaknesses and strategic approaches together with the nursery team.
