- The Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) is endowed with 750,000 million euros
- Objective: to face the economic and social consequences of the pandemic
- Valid until June of this year
There are many comments about the new contributions for the self-employed that came into force last January. But also, this year 2023 brings with it new aid for the SME sector.
The government started the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) with the funds allocated by Europe to the Next Generation EU. This plan, agreed in July 2020 by the European Council and endowed with 750,000 million euros, has the objective of facing the economic and social consequences of the pandemic and will remain in force until June of this year.
Better digital skills for SMEs
SMEs will have an innovative aid package framed in the SME Digital Generation Plan, endowed with 356 million euros until December 2025. This plan aims to increase the digital skills of SMEs and the self-employed, with 2,600 euros per beneficiary.
This plan has become an objective equivalent to the famous Digital Kit, which could be requested several months ago.
The purpose of this plan is that through training in the digital field, freelancers and SME workers can optimize their digital skills.
To access the calls for the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience (PRTR) programs, you must consult the website of the Ministry of Finance and Public Function, or the websites of the autonomous communities, which have been modified to process these aids.
Tax news for freelancers and SMEs
This year also comes with some tax news included in the tax plan for the month of September for SMEs, and refers to certain measures that want to release a bit of the tax burden not only for small and medium-sized companies, but also for the self-employed.
Additionally, for SMEs, the Corporate Tax (IS) will suffer a reduction in the nominal rate, going from 25% to 23% for those with a turnover of up to one million euros.
Aid to encourage the practice of self-consumption in SMEs
The State Registry of Emissions and Polluting Sources (PRTR) offers aid through the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE) that seek to promote self-consumption and replace polluting vehicles with clean energy ones. For this, the IDAE has a procedure to update the fleet of vehicles in companies.
Before the arrival of the European fund Next Generation EU, the Moves III Plan had already been established, which began to be capitalized with the first disbursement of 2021. This plan will help companies to acquire up to 50 electric, plug-in hybrid and fuel cell.
In the same way, companies dedicated to the service sector, may request aid for the installation of photovoltaic panels of up to 45% of the value for a basic self-consumption system.
On the other hand, the companies dedicated to the sectors: industrial, agricultural and services. They enjoy a program for the modification of renewable infrastructures, such as thermal solar panels, geothermal or heat pumps.
It should be noted that this initiative favors the 40% of the cost for medium-sized companies and the 45% for small companies.
