Madrid | April, the 21st. Today opens the deadline for submitting applications to attend the XII edition of the Entrepreneurs Award, convened by the Madrid City Council. The main objective of this award is to contribute to the recognition of original, creative and innovative projects carried out by women to promote and promote female entrepreneurship, as well as the generation of employment and increased economic activity in the city of Madrid, helping to eliminate the existing gender gap.
The Entrepreneurs Award 2022 is addressed to women-led businesses. can participate Physical persons (individual or self-employed entrepreneur, limited liability entrepreneur, property communities and civil societies) or legal persons with a majority participation of women (more than 50%) in the shares or participations (public limited company, limited company, new company limited company, labor limited company, cooperatives and associations that carry out an economic activity on a regular basis).
To participate in this edition, companies must have started their business activity between January 1, 2017 and the last day of the period established for submitting applications. In addition, they must provide business project that is original, creative, disruptive and innovative, with or without a technological base, aimed at meeting needs in different fields (environment, health and well-being, gastronomy, education, commerce, fashion, finance, electronic commerce, tourism, industry, infrastructure, logistics , energy or the like. Finally, they have to count with a service or a prototype of a tested product in the market with already measured or measurable results.
The "Entrepreneur of the year 2022" award is endowed with 20,000 euros; the two prizes for the finalists, with 10,000 euros each; and the 15 second prizes, with 4,000 euros each. In addition, the winning companies will receive different contributions in kind from the sponsors: Womenalia, SEE ME, the Hotel Business Association of Madrid (AEHM), the King Juan Carlos University (URJC) and wave madrid.
