CtOS Enabler and Walwin awarded university projects in the Startup Program

Summary

The final session of Startup Program, the largest inter-university entrepreneurship program in Spain in which the main universities from all over the national territory have participated, has announced its winning projects. The program, organized by Junior Achievement and the University-Business Foundation (FUE) has once again had the collaboration of Madrid Emprende for the celebration of its VII edition.
 
During the event, held at the Rafael del Pino Auditorium, the 14 finalist teams presented different business projects of a social nature, highly advanced technological initiatives or applications and platforms with the potential to impact and facilitate day-to-day life. The prize has gone to CtOS Enabler, a cloud service that facilitates the integration of geolocation in mobile applications and generates highly useful statistical data for companies, allowing them to obtain competitive advantages. This team, coming from the Complutense University of Madrid, will represent Spain in the European final next July in Lisbon.
 
In addition to winning first prize in the national Startup Program final, CtOS Enabler has been awarded the Rafael del Pino Award for participating in the TR35 Meeting Program, which will take place in the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) in October and the prize for the greatest growth potential in global markets PwC endowed with 1,000 euros and mentoring by the PwC Foundation.
 
The Startup Program is designed to respond to the challenges and needs of university students, encourage their entrepreneurship, bring them closer to the world of work and turn them into job creators. More than 180 students from the 21 most prestigious universities in Spain have participated in this year's edition.
 
The program is supported by the City of Madrid through the General Directorate of Trade and Economic Development "Madrid Emprende" and the Madrid Science Park following the line of impulse and support to the youngest helping them to develop their business projects and make them come true.
 
In the words of Blanca Narvaez, director of the Junior Achievement Foundation in Spain: “Promoting entrepreneurial education means investing in our future and that of our society. We live in a moment in which this engine is more necessary than ever. Entrepreneurship generates employment and creates wealth and for this reason it is essential to promote this spirit among the youngest, beginning at an early age and up to university, causing a successive impact in all educational stages”.

Startup Program is an international project that is developed simultaneously in 17 European countries, members of Junior Achievement. Throughout its seven editions, the program has generated more than 300 business projects in Spain, achieving the participation of more than 700 young people.
