- FUSIO D'ARTS TECHNOLOGY won the prize with its VISUALFY project, with a financial endowment of 12,000 euros

Yesterday afternoon, the assembly hall of the Conde Duque Center for Contemporary Culture hosted the award ceremony Madrid Impacts 2022.
Madrid Impacta wants to create a society stimulated by economic growth and social welfare with innovative business projects that generate employment. In turn, this initiative reinforces the city's commitment to compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations Agenda 2030.
Fernando Herrero, General Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Madrid City Council, welcomed those attending the event and highlighted that Madrid Impacta is one of the initiatives with which the Madrid City Council recognizes the work of social entrepreneurs. "Entrepreneurship companies with social impact deserve to make their projects and commitment to society visible."
On this occasion, the gala's master of ceremonies was the journalist Carmen Porter.
Winning company and finalists of the 2022 award
With an endowment of 12,000 euros, the winner of the "Entrepreneur/Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2022" was FUSIO D'ARTS TECHNOLOGY, SL with the VISUALFY project.
The winning company creates technological solutions, based on artificial intelligence and IOT, to improve the lives and safety of people who are deaf or have hearing loss. Specifically, it provides accessibility solutions to public institutions and private companies so that they can comply with current legislation, improving everyone's safety and productivity, in leisure and work environments.
The person in charge of delivering the Madrid Impacta 2022 award was Ángel Niño, cCouncilor delegate of the Area of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the Madrid City Council. Niño considered that all the social entrepreneurs present are winners, since they are recognized by society for wanting to change the world for the better, apart from generating wealth and employment.
Regarding the finalist projects, with an endowment of 6,000 euros each, the first runner up of this award was GRAVITY WAVE, SL. Every year we dump between 8 and 12 million tons of plastic into our oceans, which is equivalent to dumping a truckload of waste every minute. GRAVITY WAVE collects plastic from the sea with the help of traditional fishermen and transforms it into furniture, through a process of upcycling and circular economy.
And the second runner up it was SATT TRIPLE BALANCE, SL, with the NATURAL DISTRICT project. Its objective is to reduce CO2 by promoting and/or rehabilitating new models of collaborative and ecological housing, whether owned or rented; They are energy efficient and sustainable homes.
Miguel Ángel Redondo, councilor for the Government Department of Economy, Innovation and Employment, was in charge of presenting the two finalist prizes. Redondo valued the level of the projects and the entrepreneurial talent of the city of Madrid.

In addition, in this edition there were summoned 13 second prizes, with an endowment of 2,000 euros for each of them.
The prize-winning companyYoungest entrepreneur/entrepreneur”, which rewards the company with the youngest team, was IDEST ADVISORY, SL with the TELCO project. The two nominees in this category were EVA CAYETANA SOMOLINOS OLMO with the project GET CLOSER and SUSTAINABLE REVOLUTION SL with the project GLOOP.
The nominee winner of the second prizebest project Silver”, aimed at rewarding entrepreneurs whose company is dedicated to the welfare of the elderly, was I PREFER AT HOME, SLL. Both nominees for this category were MAKE IT ACCESSIBLE ASSOCIATION with the project ABOUT CULTURE MADRID and JAVIER DAVID RUIZ-MOROTE LOFT with the project VOICES.
The runner-up "Best social entrepreneurship project in Madrid”, which recognizes companies with headquarters in Madrid, was for TALENT ON WHEELS, SL with the DISCOVERING TALENT project. The other two nominees for this second prize were HISPÁNICA DEL LED, SL with the project HISPALED GROW & RFLIGHT2 and KANDCO RESTAURACIÓN, SL with the project K&Co SUSTAINABLE KITCHEN BAR.

The nominee winner of the second prizeBest social entrepreneurship project with the greatest international projection” it was CRUXCLIMB, SL with the LIMA TACO project. BLOCKCHAIN CUSTOMS TECHNOLOGY, SL was also nominated in this category with the project USYNCRO and ECODICTA FASHION SHARING, SL with the project ECODICT.
The runner-up "Social entrepreneurship with the best andlevator pitch" it was for FUTURAL TOURISM, SL with the REMOTE VILLAGES project. CO2 COMPENSAMOS, SL with the project WE COMPENSATE and IGNACIO GALLO CAMPOS with the project SCHOOL OF NATURAL ACTIVITIES – EAN were the other companies nominated.

The runner-up "Best social entrepreneurship project in the field of education” it was for U4I TALENT AND INNOVATION TECHNOLOGIES, SL with the U4IMPACT project. The nominees were ILITIA PEOPLE SL with the project MAGENTA PEOPLE and ROSA MARÍA MARTÍNEZ SANZ with the project INTEGRA HOSTESSES.

And the winner of the last second prize "Best social entrepreneurship project in the field of environmental impact” it was FOREST BANK CARBON FOOTPRINT, SL with the FOREST BANK project. The two nominees in this category were GRAVITY WAVE, SL and LAURA FERNÁNDEZ CAVIA with the project DELIGHTWEAR.
Madrid Impacta 2022 distinguished 16 social business projects, with a total economic amount of 50,000 euros.

Regarding participation, the organization has highlighted the good figures of this edition, which has increased substantially compared to the previous one. Of the 105 applications, a total of 50 projects have been finalists and have opted for the 13 second prizes and the 3 main prizes.
