More than 80 students from the Higher Technical School of Engineering and Telecommunications Systems of the UPM attended a conference on March 25 at Madrid International Lab to explain the keys to digital entrepreneurship, within the European program WATIFY: Promoting digital entrepreneurship
The event, organized by the Madrid City Council, through Madrid Emprende, and AMETIC, the Association of Electronics, Information Technology, Telecommunications and Digital Content Companies, is part of the European program WATIFY: Fostering Digital Entrepreneurship, Promoting entrepreneurship digital, in which both organizations are participants.
Madrid Emprende, AMETIC and ICF Spain explained their points of view and actions to promote the entrepreneurial spirit, and then a round table was held with entrepreneurs open to questions from the students.
Present at this table were Elena García, from Marsi Bionics, a company from Arganda specialized in building exoskeletons to facilitate the movement of people with motor disabilities, especially children, Lucía Chapas, from Accity Maps, maps with accessible urban itineraries, and Jorge Sánchez, from Big Box, online marketing and communication agency.
Madrid Emprende and AMETIC have collaborated on various occasions to bring entrepreneurship closer to university students, through several editions of the Entrepreneurship Tour, sessions in which some of the Madrid Emprende Business Incubators are visited and actions included within other European projects. as eSkills for Jobs.
Madrid Emprende makes it easier for entrepreneurs to start their business activity through its Business Incubator Network, where it offers shared work incubation spaces, advice when preparing the business plan and monitoring of projects that use this service.
