The project Future, from the Alcalá de Henares University, has become the winner of the XIV edition of the Startup Programme, the largest inter-university entrepreneurship competition in Europe, organized by the Junior Achievement Foundation with a grant from the Madrid City Council, through Madrid Emprende, and support from the PwC Foundation as the main partner.

16 teams have been selected to participate in this competition in which they have had the opportunity to present their entrepreneurial projects to a jury with the aim of becoming the winners and representing Spain in the Junior Achievement Gen-E 2022 European Entrepreneurship competition. festival, which will bring together the best European projects.

After a difficult deliberation in which the jury has taken into account the quality and originality of the projects presented, as well as their innovative nature and viability, Futura has been selected as the team Gen-E Award winner, which makes him the Spanish representative at European level. Eduardo Sánchez, patron of the Junior Achievement Spain Foundation, has been in charge of presenting this award to this team made up of students from the Alcalá de Henares University.

The Innovative Entrepreneurship Award from the Madrid City Council, through Madrid Emprende, endowed with a reduction of up to 3,000 euros in the public price for accommodation in the network of business incubators of the Madrid City Council, has been granted by Ángel Niño, councilor of the Delegated Area of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the Madrid City Council, to the team Future from the Alcalá de Henares University.

The ESG Impact Award of PwC, endowed with 1,000 euros and a counseling session, has been awarded by Carlos Caballer, patron of the PwC Foundation, to the team Refeeling from the Carlos III University of Madrid.

The Female Talent Award of Tikehau Capital, endowed with 1,000 euros and a coaching session, has been awarded by Christian Rouquerol, executive director of Tikehau Capital, to Judith Bonet of the team Grow Eat Easy of the European University.

The Energy Sustainability Award of Naturgy, endowed with curricular internships for 6 months, has been delivered by María Gómez Montañés, head of Talent at Naturgy, to the team second of the Complutense University of Madrid.

The Incubation Potential Award from BBVA, endowed with 1,000 euros and a coaching session, has been delivered by Pedro Muñoz Román, head of open innovation at BBVA, to the team second of the Complutense University of Madrid.

The Feasibility Screening Award of SpainCap, endowed with 1,000 euros, advice and free access to the annual training course for venture capital professionals, has been delivered by Ángela Alférez, director of studies at SpainCap, to the team Urbamate from the Carlos III University of Madrid.

The Startup Program of the Junior Achievement Foundation has a grant from the Madrid City Council through Madrid Emprende, the PwC Foundation as main partner, Tikehau Capital and Naturgy as partners, and BBVA and SpainCap as sponsors.
