The City Council and the merchants organize the Madrid Fruit Market Fashion Week

From October 14 to 18, Madrid pays homage to its markets and the fruits and vegetables that are sold there. A total of 27 municipal markets have participated in this initiative which, in addition to promoting the consumption of these foods, represents an important action to promote trade. The campaign reinforces the image and the attractiveness that the markets are reaching at a national and international level.
 
This week of fruit in the markets is organized by the Madrid City Council, with the collaboration of the Federation of Grouped Trade and Markets (COCAM), the organization \"5 a day\" and \"Fruit Attraction\". This year it has also had the following sponsors: Plátano de Canarias, Isla Bonita, TROPS, Kiwi Ibérico, Anecoop, Huercasa and Sakata.
 
In this new edition, the traditional fruit carvings and children's workshops have been joined by international gastronomic days and tastings of original and innovative fruit and vegetable dishes that have delighted young and old alike.
 
Objective beyond the palate
This event pursues a double objective: to publicize the extraordinary quality of the fruit and vegetables that are sold in the markets, inviting their purchase and consumption, and to promote the modern and dynamic markets of Madrid, where we have traditionally been able to find the best fruits, vegetables and vegetables that our country, privileged in this aspect like no other, is fortunate to produce.
 
In addition, and given the undoubted tourist attraction that some of the Madrid markets have, it is a magnificent opportunity to promote these products and share their delicious flavor and formidable variety.
