It will be next Sunday, November 23, at El Retiro Park.
The objective of the race, organized by the Créate Foundation, with the support of Madrid Emprende, is to promote entrepreneurial culture in a playful, festive and inclusive environment. In addition, as happened last year, the entrepreneurial attitude of people with disabilities will once again be valued, for whom social and labor integration is a challenge.
Chema Martínez, a great athlete and one of the great Spanish long-distance runners, sponsors this initiative.
The race will also have the main collaboration of GOFIT, as well as Jazztel, ENISA, Google for Entrepreneurs, Banco Sabadell, Bombardier, Deloitte, Informa D&B, Btren, Alphabet, Bankinter, DKV, BMW and Management Solutions. AON and Powerade will be the technical collaborators for the development of the race, while Tuenti Móvil, Fundación Iniciador and Ariane will support dissemination.
Thanks to the collaborators of the race, who will make it possible to celebrate it, the benefits of the race will go entirely to the promotion of entrepreneurship in Spanish educational centers.
At the end of the race, the winners of the general category, veterans over 45 years of age, runners with disabilities and the first entrepreneur hosted or graduated from the Madrid Emprende Nursery Network will be rewarded. In addition, the group or company with the most runners and the educational center with the largest number of participants will be specially recognized.
The race will have two distances: 5 and 10 kilometers. In addition, RUNKIDS will summon entrepreneurial children between 6 and 14 years of age who will face a special tour for them.
Chema Martínez has highlighted the importance that events like this race enhance the value that entrepreneurs have for any society. "Entrepreneurs are great long-distance runners who set themselves a challenge and strive to improve themselves every day to achieve their goals," said Martínez, who made special mention of all those people with disabilities who become entrepreneurs of the everyday.
Jesús Sainz, President of the Créate Foundation points out: “We are dedicated to promoting entrepreneurial values and attitudes from school because we believe that it is a vital part of our children's education. The innovative spirit, creativity, the ability to generate wealth in our environment... must be part of our day to day..."
For Gabriel Sáez Irigoyen, President of Ingesport, main collaborator of the race through GOFIT sports centers: "sport promotes fundamental values for life: effort, sacrifice capacity, teamwork, motivation to achieve a goal , daily self-improvement… all of them values and attitudes that help us to be better people in all areas of our lives”.
