Bridgestone in collaboration with the Madrid City Council, through the General Directorate of Commerce and Entrepreneurship, organize the day "Challenge your idol" with the basketball player Sergio Rodríguez
The event is included within the Bridgestone initiative "Chase your Dream, Overcome Obstacles", in which it has had the support of the Madrid City Council and wants to convey to the whole world the importance of pursuing dreams despite obstacles that can be found along the way, for whose development they will have the examples of the life trajectory of athletes such as Sergio Rodríguez, the Olympic weightlifting champion Lidia Valentín and the world champion triathlete Javier Gómez Noya.
The objective of this initiative is to instill the importance of the values of effort, perseverance, improvement... essential for entrepreneurship and motivate people to pursue their aspirations and challenges regardless of the obstacles they may encounter along the way. All this through performances and events in which the three Spanish athletes will present their inspiring success stories, achieved thanks to their effort and determination to overcome all the setbacks they have encountered on their way.
The day "Challenge your idol", took place today in the Plaza Mayor and was attended by Sergio Rodríguez "El Chacho' who has played different basketball events with children where some have even been able to challenge their idol discovering thus that dreams come true.
In addition, all those who are chasing a dream have the opportunity to tell their story and be able to make it come true overcometheobstacles.es/dreams.
Of all the dreams presented, each of the three ambassadors of the program will choose their favorite to make it come true. The contest will end in November 2016. The first winning story can be submitted until the next September 31 and will be chosen by Sergio Rodriguez.
