The Youth Choir of Madrid since last December 9 has enlivened purchases through 44 concerts in as many municipal markets of Madrid, fusing gastronomy and consumption, ending on December 29 with the closing concert in the Municipal Market of Vallehermoso.
As in previous years, the Madrid Markets have wanted to celebrate Christmas and offer everyone who wants to visit them a Concert Program promoted by the Government Area of Equity, Social Rights and Employment that is developed through the Department of Commerce and Entrepreneurship.
The Youth Choir of Madrid is a project of the Madrid Youth Choir Association, made up of about 80 singers between the ages of 15 and 25, under the artistic direction of Juan Pablo de Juan and the technical coordination of Rennier Piñer.
Throughout their 44 concerts, their voices have surprised customers and market vendors with their repertoire of traditional Christmas carols and songs that form part of the soundtrack of our lives. In this way, during the month of December, the Madrid Markets have offered, together with the quality of their products, a cultural and leisure environment so that adults and children can enjoy the market in their neighborhood as another place of entertainment.
Concha Diaz de Villegas, General Director of Commerce and Entrepreneurship, highlighted on the opening day the importance of Municipal Markets as“equipment that is the ideal place to buy throughout the year, but of course, unavoidable at Christmas, as the place where you will find the best products for your celebrations” .
