Said Conference was attended by the representatives of the General Directorate of Commerce and Entrepreneurship, representatives of different consumer organizations and business and business organizations affected, under the coordination of the Business Forum Madrid Trade Table.
Both the Madrid City Council and the different organizations present expressed their concern about the problems posed by illegal street vending and counterfeiting, since these activities violate the rights of both businessmen and merchants and the group of consumers and users, while They are the cause of job loss, business and company closures, and endanger the safety and health of people.
Illegal street selling and counterfeiting involves discriminatory treatment towards those merchants and businessmen who, complying with their administrative and tax obligations on a day-to-day basis, must compete, under unequal conditions, with those who violate them from illegality, developing an activity that entails serious risks for society in general and for consumers in particular.
