New healthy cooking workshops in the Municipal Markets with Chef Pepo

Chef pepo will cook once again in the Municipal Markets. With the support of the General Directorate of Commerce and Entrepreneurship of the Madrid City Council, the Interprofessional of White Layer Pigs (INTERPORC) organizes a series of 9 educational workshops in the Municipal Markets, led by Chef Pepo, which will begin on Saturday, February 11 at the Market of Santa María de la Cabeza.

The primary objective of these workshops is to promote healthy habits for responsible eating among families, especially among the youngest, as a way of preventing and reducing the incidence of cardiovascular diseases. And again the Municipal Markets are offered as the ideal space for it. On this occasion, the butchers and delicatessens from the markets who will offer their products for the preparation of the recipes will take on special prominence.

This is an excellent opportunity for the little ones, between 5 and 12 years old, accompanied by their parents, to enjoy learning to cook delicious and healthy recipes with pork, discovering its nutritional properties and its versatility. The recipes will be designed by the chefs of the Montia restaurant, awarded with a Michelin star, and will be supervised by Dr. Javier Blumenfeld, Pediatric Endocrinologist.

The Spanish Confederation of Meat Retailers (CEDERNE), the Rey Juan Carlos University and its Observatory for the Study and Development of Innovations in the Educational Field have also collaborated in organizing the workshops.
